MetroGo

Editorial Policy

At MetroGo, we are committed to providing the most accurate, reliable, and user-friendly transit information for the National Capital Region (NCR). This Editorial Policy outlines our methodology, data sources, and dedication to transparency.

1. Data Sources & Accuracy

MetroGo does not guess or estimate core transit data. Our routing engine, fare calculators, and station databases are built exclusively upon publicly available, official data provided by:

  • Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the Delhi Metro network.
  • National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the NaMo Bharat RRTS network.
  • Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) for the Noida Aqua Line.

We rigorously map this official data into our proprietary routing algorithms to find the most efficient paths across networks.

2. Update Frequency & Process

Transit networks evolve. New stations open, timings change, and fare structures are occasionally revised. Our update commitments are:

  • Timetable & Fare Updates: We actively monitor official announcements from DMRC, NCRTC, and NMRC. Core structural changes are integrated into our database as soon as they become officially effective.
  • Network Expansions: New lines and stations are added to our routing engine prior to or exactly on their official inauguration dates.
  • System Audits: We periodically run automated and manual audits of our GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) models to ensure they reflect the latest real-world realities.

3. Fare Calculation Methodology

Fares displayed on MetroGo are calculated using the exact slab algorithms and matrices published by the respective transit authorities. When a route spans multiple networks (e.g., Delhi Metro to RRTS), we calculate and combine the individual network fares according to official interchange rules. While we strive for 100% accuracy, users should consider the physical ticket/card as the ultimate source of truth.

4. Content & Articles

Our blog, guides, and news updates are written by human transport analysts. They are designed to be informative, objective, and strictly related to transit.

  • No Sponsored Bias: We do not publish paid promotional content masquerading as editorial guidance.
  • Clear Sourcing: Any news or significant claims within our articles will cite the official press release or news source.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

As part of our commitment to transparency, we disclose how AI technologies are used on MetroGo:

  • Core Data Exception: AI is never used to generate, estimate, or modify train timings, fares, or basic station lists. This data is strictly deterministic and sourced from official authorities.
  • Content Formatting: We may use AI tools to assist in formatting data tables, structuring articles, or generating summaries of complex transport documents to make them more accessible to readers.
  • Future Features: If AI is utilized to suggest nearby attractions or summarize local station environments in the future, such sections will be clearly labeled as dynamically or AI-generated.

6. Error Correction Process

We take absolute responsibility for our data presentation. If a user or transit authority identifies an inaccuracy in our routing, fares, or timings:

  1. The report is reviewed against official source schedules.
  2. Verified errors in the database are corrected within 24-48 business hours.
  3. If an article contains a factual error, the piece will be updated directly, and a correction note will be added to the bottom of the article.
