MetroGo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Introduction

MetroGo ("we", "us") operates the website metrogo.in. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Contact form: Name, email, and message when you submit the contact form.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, IP address through server logs, browser type, and similar technical information for analytics, security, and service improvement.
  • First-party app analytics: Route searches, nearest-station interactions, saved-route clicks, install prompt activity, PWA opens, service-worker registration status, page path, referrer, language, source type, viewport size, and a random browser-based user/session identifier.
  • Location data: If you use the nearest-stations feature, your browser may ask for location permission. We use that location only to show nearby stations and related navigation results.
  • Local browser storage: We may store saved routes, install prompt preferences, PWA session identifiers, and similar settings in your browser. These are used to keep MetroGo useful between visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for analytics, site functionality, advertising, fraud prevention, and security.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, improve our site, understand usage patterns, provide route and nearby-station features, debug PWA install/service-worker issues, maintain saved-route features, protect forms from abuse, and show or measure advertising. We do not sell your personal data.

4. PWA Features And Local Storage

If you install MetroGo as a Progressive Web App, your browser or device may package the site as an app-like experience. MetroGo does not receive native Android permissions through this install. Browser permissions, such as location access, are still requested only when a feature needs them.

Saved routes and some PWA preferences are stored locally in your browser. Clearing browser site data, local storage, or uninstalling the PWA may remove these saved items.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Maps/Places features, Cloudflare Turnstile for form security, and other third-party services. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

6. Advertising And Google AdSense

MetroGo may display ads served by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to MetroGo or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses data when you use partners' sites or apps at Google's partner sites policy page.

Other third-party ad vendors or ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies as part of ad serving and measurement. Where available, users can visit those vendors' websites or aboutads.info to learn about opt-out choices for personalized advertising.

7. Location Features

Location access is optional. If you allow browser location access for the nearest-stations tool, MetroGo uses your approximate coordinates to calculate nearby stations and travel suggestions. You can deny or revoke this permission in your browser settings. MetroGo does not request background location access.

8. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are processed and emailed to us. First-party analytics records are retained as needed to understand product usage, debug issues, and improve MetroGo. Local browser data stays on your device until you clear it or your browser removes it.
